Tough and durable two-pack acid catalysed lacquer for internal wood

Provides an ultra-tough scratch resistant finish ideal for areas requiring a high level of protection, such as hotel doors, restaurant tables, bar tops, counters, pub furniture, retail displays, and more.

Extremely hard wearing – provides a harder and tougher finish than the pre-catalysed equivalent. Two-pack acid catalysed formulation - recommneded for use by professionals and skilled DIYers only. Supplied with acid catalyst in a separate container for you to mix prior to application (the correct ratios are supplied so no need to measure out).

    We are pleased to include free standard delivery on all of our coatings to anywhere in mainland UK. We are sorry, but there may be additional delivery charges for customers in other areas, such as the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Mann. If so, we will get in touch before processing your order.

    Standard delivery

    Our accessories have a shipping fee of £5.50, however order with any of our coatings and receive our free delivery to mainland UK. 

    All deliveries are safely packaged, sent by courier and should be with you within two to three working days. (Please note, orders placed after midday on a Friday will be processed on Monday morning.) 

    Next working day delivery - £10 

    Available for orders placed before 12pm. Orders placed after midday on a Friday will be processed Monday.

    Express delivery - £20 

    Will arrive before 12pm the next working day. Available for orders placed before 12pm. Orders placed after midday on a Friday will be processed Monday.

    Surface preparation

    Remove all loose contamination from substrate such as dust and dirt. All surfaces should be grease free and sanded ready to be coated. Wipe the surface with White Spirit.

    Ideal for use over Trade Coatings Wood Stain, or coat-on-coat application with a light sand in between each coat.

    If using on MDF we recommend the use of Trade Coatings MDF Sealer first as a base coat.

    Application

    Supplied with correct ratio amount of catalyst. Pour all into main container and mix thoroughly. If using part quantities, ensure catalyst is added to the same ratio.

    Suitable for brush, roller, or spray application. Allow at least 30 minutes drying time before sanding and overcoating (longer in temperatures below 18°C).

    For airless spray use a 1.7mm or 1.8mm nozzle. If necessary, thin with Trade Coatings Thinner.

    Curing and aftercare

    Achieves full durable hardness over a period of a few weeks. For cleaning the surface during this period use a damp soft cloth.

    Handling and storage

    Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Ensure adequate ventilation of the working area. Use explosion proof equipment. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.  Shelf life is 24 months under above mentioned storage conditions 

    Keep in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Keep containers tightly closed. Store in correctly labelled containers.

    Note, this product is solvent based and therefore flammable, so please take appropriate care when using.

    Acid-catalysed lacquers are skin and eye irritants and sensitisers. It is extremely important to wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling. Spills or splashes must be removed immediately – if allowed to dry, material can only be removed mechanically or with heat and/or harsh chemicals.

    Environmentally hazardous - do not allow wet product to enter water courses, drains, sewers or the general environment.

    First aid

    Skin contact

    Irritating to skin. Wash off immediately with plenty of soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Seek medical attention if irritation or symptoms persist.

    Eye contact

    Irritating to eyes. Rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes holding the eyelids open. Seek medical attention if irritation or symptoms persist.

    Inhalation

    Irritating to respiratory system. Inhalation may cause coughing, tightness of the chest and irritation of the respiratory system. Move the exposed person to fresh air. Seek medical attention.

    Ingestion

    Ingestion may cause nausea and vomiting. Seek medical attention if irritation or symptoms persist. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.

    Firefighting measures

    Extinguishing media

    Carbon oxides.

    Fire hazards

    Highly flammable. Burning produces irritating, toxic and obnoxious fumes. Vapour may travel considerable distance to source of ignition and flash back.

    Protective equipment

    Self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing.
