Hippo Guard™ Epoxy Flooring

PREPARATION
Epoxy bonding surfaces must be free of any contaminants such as loose paint, oil, dust etc. Clean contaminated surfaces with industrial surfactants, acetone, or another appropriate solvent
or use a suitable surface primer where needed. Allow the surface to fully dry before applying the epoxy. Any damage to a concrete surface should be repaired using Mortar Repair System

APPLICATION
1. Before applying the first coat of epoxy ensure that the surface you wish to paint has been adequately
cleaned, prime areas where requared. Do not apply on New or Wet Concrete (under 30days old with a
residual moisture content of higher than 8%)
2. Ensure the room temperature is above 10c but never apply the epoxy to a hot surface
3. Mix the two pre-measured components together (Part: A & B) Stir for 2-3 minutes using a paddle
mixer to ensure the Epoxy and Activator are thoroughly mixed to begin the reaction.
4. Once Mixed pour the epoxy on to the floor, spread the epoxy using a polyester roller, synthetic brush
or an epoxy application tool, apply an even coat over the prepped surface and allow to fully cure for
12 hours before walking on.
5. Ensure adequate ventilation when using epoxy and wear appropriate PPE. Drying times may be
longer in high humidity and cool conditions.
6. This Product once activated cannot be reused at a later date

Pot Life: 40 minutes (Condition-dependent)

When your order contains products supplied by third-party manufacturers or distributors, available delivery services and shipping costs may vary. Where Express or AM Express delivery options are not available for the combined order, Trade Coatings products will be dispatched using Standard Delivery.

Products supplied by different manufacturers or distributors may be dispatched separately and arrive on different dates.

Important notes on processing

Next working day orders: To qualify for Express or AM Express, orders must be placed and confirmed before 10:30am, Monday through Thursday. 

Weekend orders: Orders placed after 10:30am on Friday will be processed first thing on the following Monday morning.

Delivery surcharges (non-mainland UK)

We are currently unable to offer the above flat-rate costs to all areas. Please be aware that there may be additional delivery charges for customers in non-mainland UK areas, such as the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man. If your delivery address falls into one of these zones, we will get in touch with you before processing your order to confirm any extra costs. You will always have the option to proceed or cancel.

Store your two-component epoxy and activator in a non-humid location with ambient temperatures between 10-25°C whenever possible. Store in original unopened containers, while avoiding direct sunlight away from any combustible and oxidising materials.
Once containers are opened material should be kept free from moisture, dust, high/low temperatures. This product shelf life of 1 year for sealed components and 2 -3 months for unsealed.
