Ultra V1 Waterproof Roofing Top Coat

PREPARATION

If repairing an area with rotten timber beneath, replace the damaged wood before applying the resin to prevent damp.

APPLICATION

1. Pour the required amount of Ultra V1 rapid curing top coat resin on to the surface - once exposed to UV the curing process will start.
2. Spread the Top Coat over the affected area with a Paddle Brush or Roller if reinforcing with fibreglass push the fibreglass/Woven matt in to the resin
then cover with more resin until the surface appears smooth and uniform.
3. Aim to achieve a recommended thickness of around 1mm, if the topcoat is applied too thick then it may crack or blister when it cures creating an uneven appearance. If applied to thick the product will not efficiently bond to the substrate due to insufficient UV penetration.
4. Before the product hardens you will have a couple of minutes depending on the levels of Ultra Violet light to make adjustment if required.
5. Once the product has fully hardened in roughly 1 to 2 hours the resin will have formed a fully water proof barrier with life expectancy of 20 - 25 years in ideal conditions.
6. For best results use with Ultra V1 Roof Resin. Lightly sand the Ultra V1 Roof
Resin before applying the Top Coat Resin.

Areas that require the use of this product can be shaded from direct sunlight to extend the application time, once the work has been concluded remove the shade screens to expose the product to UV light. This will accelerate and complete the reaction creating a waterproof grey topcoat layer.

Important notes on processing

Next working day orders: To qualify for Express or AM Express, orders must be placed and confirmed before 10:30am, Monday through Thursday. 

Weekend orders: Orders placed after 10:30am on Friday will be processed first thing on the following Monday morning.

Delivery surcharges (non-mainland UK)

We are currently unable to offer the above flat-rate costs to all areas. Please be aware that there may be additional delivery charges for customers in non-mainland UK areas, such as the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man. If your delivery address falls into one of these zones, we will get in touch with you before processing your order to confirm any extra costs. You will always have the option to proceed or cancel.

Ultra V1 should be stored in a cool and dry place away from sunlight, preferably below 30⁰C. Under these conditions, the shelf life is 6 months. The storage stability can be further improved if the resin is stored at a
lower temperature Ultra V1 is classified as flammable. Containers should be kept in a cool and ventilated place away from sunlight and sources of ignition.
